ABOUT EDMOND LACROSSE

The Edmond Lacrosse Club (parents/booster volunteer group) was recently formed to assist Edmond Parks and Recreation with marketing, fund raising, and scholarships, etc.

Edmond Parks and Recreation established the Edmond Lacrosse program in the spring of 2006.  Ninety-three boys and girls ages 7-18 registered.  The popularity of this fast-paced activity has caused the sport to take off in our community.  In the last three years the number of players has increased by 138% to 221 players in the spring of 2008.  Our current lacrosse fields are at the corner of Kelly & Covell in Edmond, OK.  While the program has seen rapid growth already, we are working to increase numbers for the spring 2009 season.  Dates for player registration for the spring 2009 season will be Dec 1, 2008 through Jan 24, 2009.  Practices will begin in February and games will be held March – mid-May.
