Grade Divisions
Scoopers 1st-3rd grade Co-Ed:
(players must be enrolled in appropriate grades and not older than 10 by Aug 31, 2009)
The Scoopers program promotes an environment that emphasizes fun while developing skills, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. We want our players to develop a life-long love of the game and continue playing in the older age groups of the Edmond Lacrosse Club.
This developmental non-contact program will consist of play days to teach basic skills with six game days to follow. At the completion of the play days, the scoopers coordinator and coaches will determine team rosters to ensure even distribution of skills. Siblings will be placed on the same team. Games will follow modified girls rules—no contact—no goalie—7 vs. 7. While games are officiated, scores are not recorded during games and standings are not maintained. All games will be held at fields located adjacent to Cheyenne Middle School.
Practices will be held once a week on Monday evenings with games immediately following. The traveling team will be formed based on results of team tryouts. In order to play on the traveling team, players must be active participants on one of the local in-house teams.
High School / 9th-12th grades
Schedules for the JV & Varsity teams will include traveling to Tulsa, NW Arkansas, and Shawnee
Playing Up Restrictions
4th – 7th grade players may play up one year as long as parents sign additional waivers. For example, a 4th grader may choose to play in the 5/6th grade group but a 3rd grader cannot move up two years to the 5/6th grade group.
8th grade players will NOT be allowed to play up into the high school division.
